Things to See & Do in Holmen
The Holmen Parks and Recreation Department has scheduled activities for all ages and interests from baseball to volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, arts and crafts, ballroom dancing, computer classes, pet first aid, pilates and more. 

For recreation, Holmen real estate has 12 parks in the area, including Deer Wood Park.  This 40 acre community park has hiking trails, a sledding hill, ballfields, tennis courts, a hockey rink, playgrounds and picnic areas.  The Holmen Area Aquatic Center is a 12,000 square foot water play center with water slides, drop slides, sand play area and concessions.  For the golfer, Holmen offers a choice of three championship courses to play, including the Cedar Creek Country Club.

If hunting and fishing are your favorite outdoor activities, the Upper Mississippi River Basin is a great place.  You'll find a variety of fish and ducks throughout the season.  This is also a beautiful place for camping and birdwatching.  Though this is a refuge habitat, with careful planning, it will be enjoyed by many for generations.  For biking, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling, you can't beat the Great River Trail.  The trail is a 24 mile railroad right-of-way that meanders through Mississippi River bottom lands with a diverse assortment of plants and wildlife.  Holmen things to do.
